"You were awesome Ted." Todd said as he picked up the ice bear and held them gently.
Ted seemed pleased with himself though the girl seemed unhappy. Going over to her, he gave her a kind smile and held out a hand to her.
"It was a great battle." Todd said, complementing them on their work with their pokemon.
She seemed to accept the good gesture and shook his head, going on her way to a pokemon center no doubt. Returning Ted to their pokeball to rest. He kept walking with Trike following behind him. They were getting closer to getting to the next town and Todd couldn't help but smile. He was really curious as to what laid beyond here. However there seemed to be one more pokemon to face. A Pancham had been watching the battle and wanted a piece of the young trainer it seemed. Taking out Piper's pokeball, the dual type pokemon was released and she hovered in the air.
"Confusion Piper!" Todd instructed.
Physic moves were strong against fighting right? Well he could only hope so as the move hit and took away a good portion of health due to it being super effective. Panchan staggered though it stood back up and rushed forward, landing a Tackle against the grass flying type. Due to having low health already, Piper wobbled in the air.
"Use synthesis, Piper." To said, glad that the pokemon knew a self healing move.
The panchan use Leer, lowering Piper's defenses. Relieved that Piper still ha the health she regained, Todd ready a pokeball.
"Use confusion." Todd said.
Focusing on the Pancham, the move hit and the pokemon was left in the orange. The fighting type staggered though they retaliated with Arm Thrust. Striking Piper four times. This caused Todd to throw the pokeball to protect Piper from the risk of another blow.
