Having heard the sound of rushing water, Todd went away from the path even more and found the source. Stilling having Trike out of his pokeball and was currently carrying him in his arms, he set the electric type down who proceeded to get a drink of water. The route had a rather lovely look to it, all of the nature holding it's own beauty. He wondered why his parents didn't live in a more rural looking town. Though his mother was a coordinator so she was used to seeing this type of scenery and not thinking much of anything of it. It was also nice to be able to take a seat on a rock after running as far as he did. Taking the egg out of his bag, he examined it carefully. It still looked the same as when he got it, palish with green dots. He was really curious as to what was inside of it. Noticing his trainer was looking at their silent companion, Trike got up and went over to the young man. Jumping up to take a seat on the rock and gave the egg a sniff. Todd gave a kind smile to the electrike. "You're curious too, aren't ya?" Todd asked, Trike nodded in reply. Who wouldn't be curious of an egg? There could be anything inside of it! But little did he know, he was about to get a visitor. Kennedy Atwood Unknown Egg 1/10

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Kicking her thin legs over a large boulder, Kennedy watched the gentle flowing water as it trickled over smaller rocks and pooled together where a dam was formed. A clan of Bidoof converged there, and seemed to be talking as if they were all old friends. Pokemon relationships still puzzled her, even after the first few experiences with the creatures, and with hidden eagerness she watched them interact. This peaceful observing was soon interrupted by a young boy's voice. "Oh, just fantastic. And whom might this be, deciding it acceptable to spoil my rare moments of peace?" Visibly irritated, the silver haired young girl sat herself up, dusting off her pastel purple skirt. Who ever it was making that racket, she would simply have to interrupt them herself. As she made her way closer and closer, and the voice got louder, she zoned in on the owner; a young boy (as she's suspected), with striking brown hair and peculiar attire. It didn't suit his physical stature very well, though it certainly looked nice, and she thought she could indentify the brand names even from the distance. Though the boy seemed to have some class about him, that wasn't what had piqued her interest, Rather, it was what he had with him. It was your typical Pokemon egg, not unlike any others that she'd seen, and, in fact, was strikingly like her own, which she looked down at from within her arms."Dear heavens." She began, stepping up from behind the boy. "What a racket for a boy talking to an egg."

Surprised by the voice, Todd jumped up and turned round to see a girl with silvery hair. Trike gave a bark at the girl as he was clearly surprised by the sudden appearance of the girl. In the red haired boy's arms was the egg and of course, he noticed that the girl had one too. "Sorry, I didn't know anyone else was around." Todd apologized. "I was actually talking to Trike here. Course I guess it counts as talking to the egg too since it can probably hear us." The egg probably could, it just couldn't give a response at all. Just a small life waiting to blossom into the world. Adjusting his grip on the egg, he reached a hand out to her. "I'm Todd Baxter, nice to meet you." Todd greeted, a kind smile on his face. 2/10

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Kennedy's pale lips upturned in a dissatisfied frown. She noticed a hint of condescending correction in his tone that left her feeling uneasy. Perhaps it would have been a much wiser decision to let the kid talk to the creatures by himself. Neither of them seemed too keen on conversation, as evidenced by the Electrike's incessant barking.
With futile gesticulation, Kennedy tried to keep the Pokemon at bay. Fortunately, it stopped as soon as his trainer began talking. She wasn't sure which thing annoyed her the most.
"Kennedy." She responded, staring with vexation at his out-stretched arm. Why was it that people liked to do that when introducing themselves? "It's a pleasure."
Ignoring his gesture, she instead peered in the direction of his egg. Glancing back down at her own, she almost smiled. "Your clamor aside, I'll admit I came up here due to interest in...that." She pointed a finger a the white and green egg. "How long have you been in possession of it?" In all honesty, she questioned how capable the small child would be in taking care of growing life. She would hate to see it cracked into an omelette, as neutral towards all things living she normally tries to be. Likely it was due to her having her own responsibility to care for something that awakened her previously stagnant motherly instinct.

When she didn't shake his hand, Todd kept it there for a moment before pulling it back towards himself an using it to help him have a better grip on the egg so there was less of a risk of dropping it. It was probably best to just ignore that happened even if it was goo manners to shake the other's hand. At least he got her name so that would make up for it. Alas he found himself confused by the clamor word....what did that mean? The egg? Todd wondered in his thoughts an he glance down at it for a moment before looking back up. "Oh not that long really, though I'm really curious to see it hatch and learn what's in there." Todd said. "What about your's? Has it showed any chance of hatching?" Would be neat if her's was going to hatch soon, then she'd have a new friend! 3/10

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD A warmth could be felt from within the thickly-shelled confines of her mystery egg, and she looked down at it with wonder. How could such an inanimate, soulless thing be so warm and lifelike? An egg, to her, seemed to be an oxymoron, with it's appearance so opposite to the things that were held inside.
Curiosity suddenly peaked, Kennedy took a few careful steps forward, towards the other egg that statically lay there. With a careful step or two forward, she reached a delicately black-painted finger at the egg, pressing her own skin up against the shell. Her eyes widened, and her finger retracted after just a few moments. Not only did it hold the same warmth as her own egg, but he felt something...different. "I...I think it...moved."
Holding on tightly to her own round shell of miracles, she glanced up and the little boy. She prepared herself to say something else to him, but she was stopped by another sensation. She could feel a gentle prodding from her arms and around her stomach, and it was a miracle she didn't drop the egg in surprise. "Mine... is as well..." It was an odd coincidence that the two just so happened to be on the same...egg clock, or whatever you might call it. Perhaps they would even hatch at around the same time, and a part of her wanted to stay and find out. Her pride, on the other hand, wouldn't allow her to do any such thing. Just the thought of spending time with a primary-schooler, watching an egg grow; how frivolous and silly.
"Well, this has been delightful; truly, but I'll be going now. I have more important manners to attend to; so if you would be so kind as to mind your volume, and I'll be on my way." As she rambled and took hesitant steps away from the clearing, her uneasy eyes kept glancing back at the egg. She felt life in it, just as she did with her own. It filled her with a sentimental warmth; a phenomena she'd never felt before, and if she had it must have been long ago. Perhaps it was the company of an innocent child, or the fact that she was in the presence of creatures who have yet to be. But she had to pry herself away; it was silly, and a soon to be world-renowned coordinator needn't do such things.

Todd stayed still as he watched the girl come forward. He could feel the warmth of the egg and he was glad that it was warm. That meant it was healthy right? Growing strong and soon to hatch right? Oh well, it be nice though if it hatched soon. Though he was surprised as well that the egg moved when the girl poked it gently and his eyes grew a little wide too when the girl said her egg moved too. "Really? That's awesome!" Todd said. "That means you'll have a new friend soon too." The lad's happiness weakened a bit when the girl said she had more important matters to do. Had he said something to offend her? It was hard to be sure since this girl did remind him a tad bit of his sister. No! He couldn't think like that, not everyone was going to be like his sister. "Hey um...if ya want we can walk together for a little while and see them both hatch?" Todd offered. "It can't be that far till we get off of Route 1." 4/10

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Stopping mid-stride, Kennedy thought, body completely frozen. It was an offer that interested her, but her mind and her heart were both sending her drastically different messages. Weighing the pros and the cons, she deliberated that wasting her time thinking about trivial things like this is even worse than doing the silly things themselves. With a sigh, she perked up her shoulders and stood up straight. With a flip of one of her drills, she turned herself back around. "Fine, I suppose I will. But only because I'm interested in that egg of yours." Once again firmly wrapping both arms around her egg, she took long strides down the path laid out in front of her. "Besides, who in their right mind would let a mere child walk down these dangerous paths all alone? Kids who don't know what they're doing seldom make it out unharmed."
Naturally she was just puffing up her ego in order to demand some respect and attention out of the kid, but it helped boost her confidence as well, however snooty she knew it was. Yes; to give herself a purpose in treking along with this child, it seemed a good way to leave her dignity intact. But as she kept walking, she came upon a realization; she had no idea which way to head. It was a straight-shot for a little while, it seemed, but eventually a fork in the road would come, and she didn't know what to do then. Timidly, she turned back and looked nervously at Todd. "So, it's just this way- yes?" Oh dear, for someone as well-bred as she was, it was certainly hard for her to remain a smooth-talker. If only she'd had more outdoor experience before this "journey" of hers; than she'd be better with things like this.

Trike followed after Todd and Kennedy, though he took to stay right by Todd's side. The boy gave a raised brow of confusion to Kennedy. Mere...child? "Aren't...you a child as well? You don't look like you're that much older than me." Todd said, clearly confused. Though deep down he was displeased, this girl looked only a little older than he was. But that wasn't the point, the point was she was acting like...'her'. Maybe this girl wasn't used to others her own age? Maybe she was a only child? IT would explain a lot. When Kennedy paused, Todd paused as well. At her question though Todd pondered on giving her a taste of her own medicine but it was best not to use those words on her. Be polite...that was something his mother taught him. "I think so, I only looked at a map for a little bit before I left and it was a public map." Todd answered respectfully. 5/10

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Listening to the boy complain, obviously confused over something, sent a devious smile to her lips. Laughing lightly, she shook her head. "You'll understand when you're older that there's a large gap within a few years at this age. It's a thing called adolescence." It was obvious this kid wasn't mature- wether it be physically or mentally, and couldn't be called so much as a "tween" yet.
It was a tad bit frustrating that neither had any clue where to go, and that irritation showed on her face. It was one thing to be lost all by herself; she'd eventually wander out of the route and make it where she needed to be by the end of the day, but with a younger kid trailing along beside her; she was regretting the decision she'd made just moments ago. "Than I suppose we have no choice," Kennedy began, not turning to look at Todd as they walked, and not even stopping. "We shall just have to hope that we get where we need to be." She'd rather not have her egg hatch under these conditions, and if she were to be spending time with a complete stranger, she'd rather it be under terms of her own choosing. And being lost wasn't what she'd anticipated.
