Plot points.
In the days of old the three legendary birds flew to a new region they had each found an island upon which they could make their nests, unlike other legendaries in the Obstina region it was possible for the Legendary bird trio to lay eggs and bear chicks, they did this to ensure that there would alway be a guardian for that which they protected. As time went by Humans stumbled upon the region, large and vast it had space for Pokemon from every other region to roam wild and free, some where on the land mass naturally but others were brought over as pets and released into the wild.
Having such an encompassing land mass most if not all the biomes that Pokemon need to survive and thrive can be found on the continent, do not underestimate its size, for on the map it might seem small but the locations on the continent vary and the towns numbers are great. So this is the perfect place for an adventure to take place.
The Obstina region grew in both wealth and prosperity, the natives becoming quite thrifty and quickly realizing that there were untapped gold nugget reserves they flocked to where these gold vines were close to the surface, settling and starting small towns as they went. Some of the villages are still used as trade routes to this day but the others have become cities and harbors all in their own rights.
All has been well in Obstina, a region of peace and harmony, the people and Pokemon here live side by side. The Pokemon league has prospered and the gym leaders each have risen to power, helping to maintain the peace in this tranquil land.
Recently however it can be noted that the police have been searching for a notorious gang that seem to have nefarious plans. They had been stealing Pokemon, capturing them en masse and storing them, the police have yet to find out about the actual purpose of the collecting. There have been numerous spottings of Suicune, Raikou and Entei in the area as well, more specifically close to the nesting islands of the Birds. No one has figured out what this means as of yet, though Professor Willow is on the case.
