The cracking of the egg continued and in a few more moments, a little head came out. It came out of the egg the rest of the way and stumbled about on Todd's lap. IT was a Treecko! A pokemon that Todd had a fondness for ever since he saw it. Gently picking the treecko up, Todd's face just beemed with joy.
"You're so cute!" Todd said with glee. "I think we'll call you, Leafy. Whatcha think? Is that alright with you?"
The newly hatched pokemon tilted it's head, a tad confused by the strange child who was hold it. Even though it was newly hatched, it had a serious little nature. Though it reached with paw and pawed at his face to show a agreement. Trike gave a happy sound and Leafy glanced to it. Though the treecko was surprised when Todd got up and went over to Kennedy, still smiling happily but having a curious look on his face as the egg she owned continued to hatch.

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Her eyes blinked a few times, trying to register what it was that she saw in front of her. She never thought that Pokemon could truly smile, but this creature of hers seemed to hold a perpetual grin from frog ear to frog ear.
Eyebrows raised, she look a closer examination of the blue and white creature. It was a Froakie - that much she could tell for sure, but it certainly wasn't like any other of the sort she'd ever seen. It's eyes were both off in completely different directions, hectically scanning his new surroundings. It didn't look as if the poor thing would so much as be able to see straight, but once at least one eye zoned in on Kennedy herself, they both locked on. Smile never fading, it bounded it would seamless energy towards the prideful young lolita. Taken back by this, Kennedy let out a small cry, stopping herself mid-way once she realized how ridiculous she looked.
The Froakie was all over her, and ever since his sudden pounce, she'd been pushed down to the dusty dirt path. A peculiar look formed upon her expression; one of disgust, curiosity, and divine amazement. Normally, she'd have just passed off a... bizzare creature like this one off as nothing more than a nuisance, but she knew that this was no ordinary nuisance. This nuisance was her responsibility. It astounded her that the naive young thing could be so gleeful over his predicament. Then again, he had yet to understand what lay in store for him.
Regardless of that ineviatble future, its energy, exuberant and filled with a contagious positive quickly made its way to Kennedy as well. The corners of her eyes dropping to a point, a deep smile that couldn't be resisted soon coated her features. Prying it off of her, Kennedy held the Froakie by the waist in her hands. "Well, little one, it seems I have my work cut out for me." A trickle of mischievous teasing lay in her tone as she spoke, and she tapped it on the two white balls on its face that were to closest thing to a nose he had. "Just be prepared; being a Pokemon of mine is no walk in the park." She shook her head, and with a deep breath stood herself up. "No, be expected for rigorous training," she paused for a beat. "But with that will surely come great rewards." And she didn't just mean for him.
Noticing that the little red-headed boy was now hovering over her, her smile switched back to a more neutral position. However, a soft glow could be seen on her face and within her uniquely colored eyes. "I see yours as hatched as well." Kennedy nodded as a gesture towards the Treecko. "I trust that you will be able to care for the thing, yes? Their life is in your hands." Now, this wasn't said as a jab at him, but more as a mental reminder for her to do the same. She had more confidence in him, in the end, and perhaps hearing him say that he could would help convince her she was capable of doing the same. | ☁ |

Todd chuckled as he watched the newly hatched pokemon bounce on Kennedy and proceed to show her that it was happy to see her. Hopefully these two would get along just fine. When she went to stand up, Todd move out of her way so that she wouldn't bump into him and get mad over a bump on the head; if such a thing would upset her.
"Of course I can. I've been able to take care of Trike and the other friends I made, I can take care of Leafy too." Todd said. "I can see your happy with the Froakie you got, that's a good thing to see."
Todd was happy with every pokemon he got. They were all unique an deserved a chance, he couldn't cast them aside.

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Kennedy laughed with haughty pride, covering part of her mouth with a free hand in a way most pretty rich girls did according to stereotypes. This was a different type of pridefulness than before, as she acted the way she did mostly as a way to cope with her social anxiety. However, she now seemed genuinely interested in holding a conversation with the child, as evidenced only by her large expressions (whether they be positive or not), as well as the subtle pink that dusted her cheeks.
“Of course, of course!” Kennedy looked down at her newly acquired Pokemon for a moment. “Rococo shall be graceful and demand attention in competition, just the same as my other underlings!” The Pokemon was (which she decided to name in a casual manner, as displayed above), she’ll admit, very aesthetically pleasing to her. Though perhaps not in the same way as her Glameow, Atelier, he a had a sort of class that she was sure could be utilized – all peculiar quirks aside.
“Now, shall we be off?” Both of their Pokemon were now hatched, and seemed to be perfectly fine and in no needed of immediate attention. In fact, the Froakie of hers looked perfectly content being cradled in her arms, purring in a way Kennedy found strange coming from a frog. “I can’t imagine we've much road left to travel.” Which was true, as within a few paces and a rounding of a corner, a building could be faintly seen in the distance, shrouded by some far-away shrubbery. It was just a short walk now.
