Neutrois | 17 | Demisexual |
Friendship:
Verley is not a friendly person. They are self-centered, introverted, and misanthropic, so don't expect to leave a conversation with them without enduring a few insults. They put themself and their research first in more or less every situation. However, Verley is lonely; they never made any strong connections growing up, and were mostly ignored anyways. They don't think about it much, but they really could use some companionship. Your best bet for befriending Verley is to simply stick around long enough that they stop trying to push you away--you'll find that they're pretty easy to crack if you're persistent. Showing interest in the sciences (especially biology and ecology) is an excellent start, but if worst comes to worst, it's very unlikely that Verley won't get attached to you if you just keep on sticking around. They're a loyal, if socially clueless friend who will stand by you through thick and thin and do their best to support you. And then deny it immediately afterwards.
Enemies:
Verley has declared themself enemies with everyone else on the planet. Their default opinion on everyone they meet is "dislike", so there isn't much to say about this. Their least favorite human trait is definitely ignorance, though; they cannot claim to hate all human traits equally when ignorance is just so especially bad. Refusing to listen to reason and acting clueless about scientific topics are the easiest ways to get declared Supreme Archrival for All Time Above All Other Inferiors in Verley's book. Have fun!
Love:
Verley is inexperienced enough with friendship as it is; romance has not once ever crossed their mind. If they were to enter a relationship, it would almost certainly be with a close friend. Verley is demisexual and demiromantic, and requires a close bond to be formed before any attraction happens. They're also more likely to take an interest in friends of non-binary or feminine genders as a rule. As a romantic partner, Verley acts fundamentally the same as a close friend, with the added benefit of letting you hold their hand sometimes.
Plot Ideas:
Verley's a huge jerk with too many brains for their own good, but hopefully that'll be amusing to read rather than annoying. If anyone wants their character to befriend them, let me know.
