Tilting her head before nodding intently to the lesson in sentence structure, Eryn was taking mental notes and trying hard to understand the obstacle that was difficult literature. "…Coordinators must abide to these rules along with their team in order to participate in these upcoming events." She repeated deliberately and managed to sketch a better translation. Their way of promoting is always sugarcoated in literature that is way difficult to understand sometimes. Especially since her native language still runs strong in her accent. It's a shame that they can't get to the point of things. So, she invested some time into it, the last few sentences of the brochure that was given to her once she arrived to the region. "Teams…does it mean those pocket monsters?" Although filled with distinctive and clean notes it still made no sense. She glanced at the rather bolded arial. It's been an entire half-hour since her little project had started to take flight and well, she barely scratched the surface of it all. Why is this boring her? Where should she go once it grows dark? What should she be doing right now? Eryn could only discuss these gearing questions within the pockets of her own mind as she followed the cobblestone path to the laboratory.
Roughly folding the slip and tossing it out at the nearest garbage can. Her parents only thought of other pokemon besides the common milktanks or mareep as disgraceful creatures. But, she kind of liked finding bunches that had the guts to wander so close to the farm. Their images and shadows only reflecting on the windows were scary but not entirely. As though they were also curious of what seemed like a mistaken species, they'd always visit for a moment before leaving. Eryn could only snag a peek of them freely doing whatever they wished to do with their freedom. She found that pretty neat that they naturally rely on instinct to find their families, homes, and survive. Pretty responsible on their own time and make good use of their adventures. But, she didn't like the ground, bug, and rock types. They were always swarming in groups or making a ruckus during the day with their robust movements.
When she arrived, her slothful eyes were trying to hold out from fatigue. Surveying the lab's dawnlit setting stretching in front of her. Considering the time of afternoon, it was actually not as congested as she might have imagined it would be. Not even a handful of researchers were on site causing a scene with their constant pondering and bickering for who called first dibs on a day off. Disturbance of the serene atmosphere was slim, which helped to keep her peace of mind. "Hello? Professor Hickory? Um... I'm here to choose my first pokemon." She chirped with a papery feel to her voice.
Since Eryn did not care much on her future after this nor getting a pokemon she kinda felt lost. But, at least she will have a head start on becoming a great coordinator. Now, Eryn wasn't going to pick a pokemon because it was cute or had the biggest personality. Maybe her first pokemon she'll be looking out for is something that could be strong enough to protect her. It was a requirement that her parents once told her if she ever got into any sort of loving relationship. But, those connections seemed to rather dry out over the years. Growing up with her gullible sisters she noticed that these unnecessary heartbreaks just choke them out in longterm misery. Overall, Eryn did hold close to what her parents have taught her. Being on her own for the first time is something new to her and she needs a sturdy companionship if she were to keep up this act.

And I Said Hello! Hello, Hello!
The professor sat behind her desk, analyzing her calendar and trying to figure out exactly who she had promised could have the day off tomorrow. The research assistants were bickering about who would get time off tomorrow, but the sad truth was that Hickory had told them both they could have it. She was having trouble with managing her calendar as of late, with so many new arrivals to the region visiting for their starters. That's why she was caught off guard when that papery voice whispered out to signify the arrival of yet another young person. "Oh, dear," she cooed as stood from her seat. "You're here for a Pokemon, are you?" She glided over to the machine she used to select random starter Pokemon, not wanting to keep this brilliant young woman waiting. "Let's get you on your way, shall we." She flipped the lever and flung the resulting pokeballs into the air. Releasing the pokemon inside would reveal Ms. Hepworth's options.

Eryn bowed her head to greet the Professor before looking at her choices. The first one was a glameow that was casually laying on her abdomen while her forearm supported her stature. The cooling attitude still unshaken by the echoing machinery in the background. It’s white toes were nearly indistinguishable from the rest of her slender legs in color; ravishingly healthy pelt with a curvy tail that sprung youthful features. It's is easy to notice this pokemon was pretty calm with it’s own space. It's head glazed over to the side as she tilted her cranium for a better perspective. The feline was relentlessly eye-balling Eryn with it’s oceanic hue like she was some alien-like creature. It’s just that the girl seemed so short and had freakishly long hair so it was easy to assume that this was…well rather odd. Eryn soon averted her eyes to reach to the other pokemon which was a poochyena! Overflowing memories jumped her as she recalled it’s finally evolution which was a mightyena. She’d been around one that watched over her through thick and thin through the large estate which belonged to her aunt. The pup began greeting Eryn warmly once she picked it up. Soon she was coated in embarrassment, flustering by a simple action made her interest peek. The kisses picked at the corner of her eyes and the red tint proceeded to warm her cheeks. Those rubellite eyes meeting her own whipped up a strong aura between the two. Maybe this was her destined partner.
Suddenly, bulging unclouded lights distorted her tiresome oculars. “Huh—" An inhale of breath was ceased, heavy coughing fit racked her frame and stopped her speech. The coughing fit she'd been holding in finally erupted from her lungs. Shortly after it died down a random short puff of smoke caused her breath to catch in her throat. She quickly placed the poochyena back down before she’ll jolt like that again. Giving herself a quick shake at the neck before bringing her eyes back up, a rather peculiar company brushed over her heel. Eryn looked forward, listening to cottoning yaps surround her as she laid eyes upon something tragic. It was a little candlelight. The pipsqueak was bouncing away in one spot with a feverish flame twirling to pick up some attention. It seemed that it was really trying hard to make sure Eryn snagged a peak at it's existence. Poor thing almost burned itself out it seemed. She cushioned herself into a crouched position as she watched the pokemon alight in her presence. The flailing arms and sunglowing eye was just asking to be anywhere but here. Eryn hovered her palm over the litwick. She had a strange urge to choose this one. It’s not likely of her to have to second guess herself but it’s better than being left with regret. The brisk gestures and imperfect figure reminded her of something grim. Though she couldn't help herself but to roll a muffled laugh at the thought of it all.
Anyway, Eryn picked the runt. The one with the most disadvantages, and was incapable of going anywhere on it’s own without assistance. Though, she didn’t mind it one bit. She thought it was awesome that a litwick had such a hasty nature. Poocheyena and glameow could travel by it’s trainer’s side and grow exceptionally strong any day. But she thought this litwick's action was too daring to overlook. Maybe after a few training here and there she’ll learn more from this fire/ghost type. But for now, she's stuck in a limbo of thoughts that her partner is so wonderful. "I'll be taking the litwick, Professor."
