Final Fantasy VIII Toward an Endless Tomorrow

"War is always on the mind of those who desire power. Someone or something will always cross the invisible line between peace and war."


Throughout history there has always been war. Rather it is political, for power, or any other reason someone could find. As time passed mankind found new reasons to fight. Once it was discovered that some humans had amazing abilities handed down from the Great Hyde, people started to fear. These humans with amazing abilities where dubbed Sorceresses. Fearing that these Sorceresses would use their powers for control, more hatred and segregation begin to form in the World. You did have some people who accepted Sorceresses, knowing that not all were evil. Years and years went by, but nothing really changed. Most Sorceresses kept to themselves, wanting to live a normal. But Sorceress Adel had other plans.


"Sometimes knowing nothing is better than knowing at all..."


Sorceress Adel became the ruler of Esthar and from there the Sorceress War begin. Fortunately, Laguna Loire and his friends brought an end to the War and Adel's rule by imprisoning her. There was a moment of peace again until several years later a Sorceress named Ultimecia tried to obtain a special power from a girl named Ellone. After a long fought battle, Ultimecia met her defeat at the hands of a special group of SeeDs.


"I'm sure I'll do the right thing... If the right thing is revealed."


After Ultimecia's defeat the World returned back to normal (with the exception of magic being released for use for everyone). The World enjoyed a peaceful time. It would seemed the days of wars were long gone. Two years later Guardian Forces suddenly start disappearing without a trace. This left people puzzled and to this date they're still looking for answers. The new Galbadia President, Hidaka Vice, took it upon himself to take action. He declared war on Esthar, claiming that Esthar was behind the disappearance of the Guardian Forces and were intending on using them to gain control over the world. It wasn't too hard for him to convince the public since Esthar didn't really associate with the rest of the world. Thus, the Galbadia-Esthar War had begun. The fighting started to get more worst. That's when GUILTY appeared.


"I dream of a world where children can ask their parents... What was war?"


GUILTY is a secret organization whose goal is to take out every military faction (including Gardens) in the World. Through GUILTY's eyes, our world was nothing more than a dying star ready to collapse on itself. They didn't want the world to be engulfed in destruction. So they took it upon themselves to stop these threats. With a world at war where do you stand in the mist of this chaos? And what will happen to this world as we head Toward an Endless Tomorrow?
