| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Kennedy had wanted to spend an extra day in the town behind her, but once her troupe of newly-assimilaed Pokemon began to whine and complain to her the only way that Pokemon knew how (by whining, that is), she decided it was time to move on. The only problem with that, was that moving on required walking through a forest. In fact, almost immediately after setting her patent leather Mary Janes outside Calitha Town, she was engulfed in trees. "At least it's the wintertime. I'd much rather trudge through a few inches of snow than swat away bugs and sweat through my clothing." The young girl muttered to the open air, knowing there was no one to listen who didn't have fur or a beak. There weren't too many Pokemon ambling about (wise choice on their part), and Atelier was her only Pokemon that she'd allowed outside of their Pokeball. This was in part because she didn't want the others to burn the forest down and melt the snow, and also in part of the fact that they were extremely obnoxious. Those two seemed a tad too...common for her taste, with an apparent lack of manners and etiquette that made both her and Atelier stick up their noses in distaste. As time went on, Kennedy began to feel her feet less and less, and Atelier had completely thrown in the towel where walking was concerned, now sleeping fitfully in Kennedy's arms. But the forest seemed to have no end, and with each passing tree or bush, Kennedy couldn't help but worry that she'd been walking in circles. How did people navigate through forests, anyways? Everything looked too much the same! Tag: Faylinn Jones | ☁ |

i have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. Faylinn and Ursa were walking back into the Forest right outside of Calitha, they had spent the night there recovering from the previous day's training. Currently Faye and her newly acquired Scatterbug were resting in their pokeballs. Faylinn had gotten a red scarf that she had wrapped around the neck of Ursa, he was looking quite dapper this morning even if Fay had to say so herself. She strolled into the forest, the crisp winter air was whisking her bright pink hair back over her shoulders. Ursa held her hand as they made their way through the snowy forest. Faylinn was quite happily walking hand in hand with Ursa when he spotted something, running up ahead Faylinn had to jog to keep up with her small Bear. She reached a tree, seemed like a girl was walking in a large circle on the forest path ahead.

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Unable to use her arms as a meager way of keeping warmth due to having to hold her feline friend, Kennedy's thin frame was shivering violently, rattling her to the bones. She hadn't packed anticipating such frigidly cold weather, and the overcoat she was wearing barely went to her knees and was too thin to offer much protection. "This would all be solved if only I could figure out how to leave this place." The young girl thought, sighing. She shut her eyes for a moment, and when she did, she realized just how exhausted she now was. It had never dawned on her just how long she'd been out; the sun had barely peaked over the horizon when she'd first left on the escapade, and now it looked to be at least mid-day. This was more walking than she could have imagined doing just a few weeks ago. This despair-filled trek was abruptly interrupted by a shake of bushes and the distant sound of footsteps. Her heart skipped a beat or two, her rust colored eyes widening and shooting around as she tried to spot what was making these noises. Was it some wild creature, here to pray on her tender and lean virgin flesh? Grip around Atelier tightening, she took a few steps up to a tree, seeming to shrink in size with each step. "Whatever you are out there...know that I'm not- I'm not scared of you one bit." Her normally crisp and exact voice now lacked diction, wavering with every syllable. "I- I may look like an easy victim, but just because I'm a precious young lady... it certainly doesn't mean that you can take me on." Or was that exactly what it meant? Tag: Faylinn Jones | ☁ |

i have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. Ursa and Faylinn looked on confusedly as this clearly independatn looking woman seemed to grow in doubt. She shrunk up against a tree, Faylinn reached into her bag and took out a small polar fleece blanket. The thing was about as bright pink as her hair, the contrast between the snow covered floor and the thing makingthe colour seem almost inter dimensional.
"HEY! I'm no wild creature or whatever." Faylin said as she walked from behind the tree, the girl had been obviously shivering, the least she could do was offer her some warmth. "Here use this, you seem to be on death's doorstep." Faylinn shook her head as she walked towards the girl, her hand outstretched holding the blanket at arms length towards the girl.
"I'm Faylinn and this is Ursa." She beamed as she drew closer. ❁

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD The crunching of feet walking on frozen grass grew louder and louder, gradually crescendoing as whatever loomed before her grew closer and closer. Not wanting to see what lay ahead of her, Kennedy closed her eyes tight, holding onto an obviously confused Atelier. The looming figure grew closer and closer until she could feel its presence and hear it's breaths. When Atelier mewed at the uninvited guest, Kennedy sheepishly opened an eye. And was she dreadfully embarrassed. A young woman; older than her but not by too much, stood directly in front of her with a bright pink blanket being clutched in her out-stretched arms. Obviously she'd been under a misapprehension, and it was just some wayward traveller who thought a "weak little girl" such as herself could go for a bit of charity. She blushed furiously, and in feeling the heat radiating off of her cheeks, she realized how stark the contrast of body temperature was from her face to the rest of her body. She was freezing, and no amount of shivering was doing much to change that. Regardless, she wouldn't just take a blanket from a stranger she'd never before met and didn't much want to have met. Turning up her nose and hiding her face, Kennedy huffed at the woman; "Oh, please, I don't need anything. I'm just...just fi-" Unvoluntarity Kennedy suddenly sputtered out a sneeze, doing her best to stifle it, but all that accomplished was turning it into a tired squeak. Blushing madder than ever, she tried her best to ignore Atelier's mocking snickers (whom she dropped on the ground for doing so anyway) and snagged the blanket out of the older girl's clutches. "After further consideration, perhaps I shall take this offering after all," She paused for a moment, eyes indirectly glancing at the woman "Faylinn." Making a particular effort not to look into her helper's eyes, Kennedy tightly wrapped the blanket around her shoulders, pressing her face up against the soft wool. Her body warmed up in a matter of seconds, and she couldn't help but let out a smooth sigh of comfort and relief. "My name is Kennedy Atwood." Was all she said, a cold and distant tinge of contempt in her voice. But then again she was always like that. "Though I wouldn't recommend we find ourselves on a first name basis. I'd rather I warm up and have us continued our own separate journeys at the earliest convenience." She looked up at the trees, finding no particular interest in them but finding nothing else to look at. "Which would be soon. I have things to do, and I'd rather not spend my time stuck in the middle of some forest."Tag: Faylinn Jones | ☁ |

i have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. Faylinn chuckled as the girl took the blanker. She was quite the strange one. Not that she hadn't seen more different people but hey, "Kennedy Atwood it is a pleasure to be of your assistance." She beamed as she held out a hand. She picked Ursa up and stood with her head to the side. She had heard that Surname before but to heck if she could remember where. She stood there musing, not saying a word, staring at the girl whilst the wind wafted through her hair, the smell of strawberry shampoo filling the air.
"Well you did seem like you were on your way somewhere, only problem was that the way you were going was the way you had come in the first place, catch my drift?" Faylinn was liking this girl already.
"Well we can help you get backto town if you want?" She beamed and Ursa gave her a thumbs up, "We could have some hot chocoalte i packed in for today." She started off on a tangent as she started walking down the path that she and Ursa had taken, "I'm Faylinn Jones, soon to be renowned coordinator." She grinned so broadly and brightly it could melt the heart of any grinch. "She hummed a cheery tune as she skip/walked. ❁

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD Was this peasant making an attempt at shaking hands with her? Though she supposed it was much more polite and less touchy-feely than squeezing her tight for a hug, Kennedy felt the same discomfort as if he'd been asked to do that same thing. Curt politeness she could squeeze out, even with those she'd already decided weren't worth her time, and without more than a moment's hesitation and a few wary glances, Kennedy took out her own hand, resting it in the young woman's slightly larger own, and gave a solid yet quick shake. She noticed almost immediately upon contact that her hards were warm; incredibly so, and never before did she realize hands could contain such temperature. But such thoughts are unnecessary, especially with her immediate goal of getting away from this high-strung anomaly. "Yes, a pleasure to meet you as well.." She quietly responded in a feelingless coo. As she was just about to turn herself away from Faylinn, something the pink haired stranger said made her stop and crane her neck back around. "Are you...trying to imply that I've walked myself into a circle?" Her mouth slowly pronounced every word as the cranks turned in her head. A look of sour distaste formed upon her countenance, and she had trouble telling if this was because she was upset with the young woman for her very presence, or for herself for making such a humiliating mistake in front of another. Just as she looked down, she noticed a sly smile upon Atelier's features and a satisfied purr, and realized that she was being shown up by one of the common folk. She certainly wasn't about to let her own Pokemon believe her to be a meat-headed dunce, with all bark but little bite or presence. Head held up just as high as if she had been claimed queen of it all, Kennedy wore the blanket like a rope and sauntered down the path and in front of Faylinn. "Fine. I shall allow you to escort me. But only until we reach the town. By than your assistance shall become obsolete."A bitter and sarcastic smile flashed on her thin face as she added quietly, "Perhaps I'll even take you out for dinner, if you're a good girl." But the attitude was gone as soon as it was said, and she was left wondering why it had been said to begin with. Tag: Faylinn Jones | ☁ |

i have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. So Faylinn and the girl had set off down the path, but she seemed to be full of snarky remarks, not that they bothered Faylinn in the least. Like water off a wingull's back she just forged ahead. "Well dinner does seem like it would be nice," She smiled at the girl, "Though i've never had a penchant for being a good girl." Faylinn let out a hearty laugh and Ursa chuckled in her arms.
"So Why were you walking ina big circle in the middle of the frozen forest dressed like you are on your way to a midcentury tea party in the summer time?" Faylinn really wanted to know, either this girl was very brave or not the brightest Pikachu in the box.
Well if anything the girl would be her friend. She seemed to have an air about her, the kind that the coordinators on TV had had when Fay watched it whilst growing up. The way she carried herself, the aloof remarks the beautiful Purrloin. This girl must have something to do with Coordinating and contests Faylinn swore, and if she was wrong may she be turned into a Pumkaboo. ❁

| THE ONE AND ONLY PRINCESS IN THIS WORLD The climate had become considerably more tolerable now that she had a thick blanket wrapped around her, and she didn't mind the color either, surprisingly enough. It was the company that she was a bit on the fence with, though she'd wrung that statement to death already. It went without saying at this point. Faylinn responded to her barely whispered sarcastic comment, and Kennedy stopped for just a second and her face went blank. "She'd actually heard that?" It wasn't intentional, and annoyed her greatly that she'd now dug herself a deeper hole than had already been dug by her escort. Faking a cough which she covered up with her blanket-engulfed hand, Kennedy tried to veer the currently terribly uncomfortable conversation onto a more respectable route. But it seemed unlikely she would get away with not answering the question given to her, and with narrowed, embarrassed eyes, she responded as bashfully as a prideful girl could. "It's rather difficult to navigate the hectic woods if you lack field experience." She tried to explain in words that made her sound the lease bad. "I'm almost certain I'm not the first. and won't be the last person to get themselves turned around. It's... an honest mistake."
As she travelled, she focused on getting one cold foot in front of the other, trying to distract herself in anyway that would detain from her making to look Faylinn in the eye. There was just something about the way she looked at her, as if the pink-haired simpleton thought herself above her because she had an idea of how to walk through trees effectively. It made her sick, but follow her she must, lest she get lost yet again. A humbling situation, but not much could be done, and she desperately wanted to get on with things. "And, as for my attire, I'll ask you to please refrain from mocking it. What I'm wearing costs more than your entire wardrobe, I'd venture to guess." She gave a soft little "humph", crossing her arms across her chest. "Besides, it keeps me plenty warm. One could have on the thickest wool coat, and it wouldn't help you if it's windy enough" And such was the weather outside; frigidly cold with snow on the ground and a fickle wind. "But what about you, dear miss? What business do you have meddling in a stranger's engagements?" Kennedy decided to distract attention on her own personal matters, and in all honesty, she was rather interested in the sort of things the common folk were interested in. Tag: Faylinn Jones | ☁ |

i have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. So the girl was far more snooty then she had at first appeared, but this was not going ot get Faylinn down, She was determined, This girl WILL like her, come Giratina or high water.
"Your clothing does look quite fancy, but i think that material that thin and silky should rather be kep forthe summer months." She snickered at the girl wrapped in the pink blanket, "Want some Cocoa? I want to take a breather anyways." She sat down on a tree stump and rummaged through her bag, producing a flask and two cups, "Nurse Joy made this for me before i left the Pokemon center." She grinned at the girl some more. "Well as i was saying I'm a coordinator in the making. So i was actually on my way into the woods to get some training done and seeing as how you looked a little lost we decided to help, It's nice to be important but it's far more important to be nice." She smiled as she chimed the words drilled into her hed by her mother. She held out a floarl mug filled to the brim with hot cocao and pink & white marshmallows."Here you go." ❁
