The bus ride was fine, not a bumpy or long dragged out ride. It was nice and he was very happy once he spied the town coming in from a distant. Just a little bit longer and he'd have his own pokemon, a companion to go out on this journey with. Leaving the bus, he adjusted his coat and headed onward though he ended up running due to his excitement. Really the young man couldn't even guess what was waiting there, he figured there could be one of every pokemon there to choose from how could they possibly narrow it down enough?! Course he didn't know that it was three types to choose from. A smile was plastered on his face as his mind temporary forgot about the negativity that his sister gave him right before he left. She'd still been going on and on as he pondered on what to wear, which ended up being the outfit his mother gave him.
Once at the door, he knocked on it before opening it. Blinking a few times as he poked his head inside to see if there was anyone here. So far he didn't see anyone and thus he entered, closing the door quietly behind him.
"Ello?" Todd called out. "Anyone here?"
(Surprise me on the types please.)

And I Said Hello! Hello, Hello!
Professor Hickory was busy when the first of the knocks came. She was busy in one of the buildings that adjoined the main complex, treating a young Deerling who had gotten caught in some barbed wire. The wire was gone now, and the Pokémon would be fine, but she wanted to wrap and disinfect its wounds.
"I'll be with you in just a moment!" She called when she heard the door open. She hurriedly finished bandaging the Deerling's legs. These days, it seemed, she was never prepared for visitors.
With the Deerling tended to, she went through a door and into the main building, in a room she liked to call the reception area. A boy was waiting inside. He looked very excited.
"Well, aren't you a fine young man!" Hickory said, grinning. "I imagine you're here for a starter Pokémon?"
Looking down at herself, she realized that her white labcoat was smeared with blood. "Don't mind the way I look," she added quickly. "I was just treating an injured Pokémon, that's all."
She clapped her hands together briskly and walked over to a large machine in a corner of the room.
"Well!" she exclaimed. "Without further ado, let's see your choices!"
She pulled the lever, and three Poké Balls popped out, rolling on the floor. Hickory sighed; she really needed to do something about that, and make it so the Poké Balls didn't roll all over the place. But it didn't really matter, because after a few moments all three burst open, revealing the Pokémon inside.

Hearing the voice call to him that she'd be there soon, Todd stayed put and glanced around. He wasn't really paying much attention to what he was seeing in terms of the inside of the lab, he was just keeping himself preoccupied. When he heard the sound of shoes on the tile floors, Todd looked to see the Professor coming though she had a few spots of red on her coat. He did tilt his head as the thought of it being blood or paint came to him, though his thoughts were confirmed when she admitted to helping a pokemon.
"That's okay." Todd said. "Thank you Ma'am."
Fine young man? That was a nice thought. He nodded his head eagerly when she mentioned starter pokemon and his smile grew. At this point he could hardly contain his excitement, he was gonna get a pokemon. Seeing the pokeballs hit the floor, he wondered if the pokemon felt that and if it hurt. Though they burst open and he was greeted by three different pokemon. One already stood out amongst them. Pointing to the green and yellow dog like pokemon, Todd looked very happy.
"This one please." Todd said.
The electrike tilted it's head as it looked up at the child pointing at em.
