EMBER - ASTONISH - MINIMIZE -
CLEAR SMOG
| tags @mod notes whoosh! alrighty, it's time to train em' up. |
PICK OF THE LITTER,hover for notes | A girl still wandered, with only a breath of hesitation - more like a blink of cognizance - Eryn took note of the faint illumination of the town behind her, a warm hue not seen in any of the bioluminescent plants around her. The small slick pebbles and moss kept tugging at the base of her show, either to trip her or spook her out of this night walk. Her pace was slowing none, though there was hefty increase to possible danger if she’d continue this stride alone. Naturally, at such a pace, stopping was difficult.
Eryn attempted to lock onto a path that’ll lead her to another town or route. But the figures distorted - oaken trees appeared as spliced rope while the pitch black cavities of tall grass continued to stain her anatomy. She was engulfed by the nothingness but she did not appall at this nightfall. Growing up without much houselights was one thing why she wasn’t scared. Though, most of the credit was falling towards Ignazio, her Litwick. She peered over her shoulder, Ignazio’s flame was regaining it’s sugulite color by the second. Since it was interrupted by the change in the air the Litwick awoke to the sight of the forest. The ripples of heat was the first to hit Eryn's senses as she was drawing close to higher grass area. As if the transparent flames expanded explosively, Eryn took a short break to the stockpiled warnings of her pokemon. She put on the brakes, eyes glued to the dark figures amongst the deserted open.
Danger. That was all that crossed the rather simple girl's mind as she continued to stare. While Ignazio, slack-jawed and ready to bail out of this already could only continue sitting lightly on her shoulder. He regarded the slightly larger shadows. They heaved in desperation, puffed spirits exhaled from their maw, visibly hazed within the smoggy light. But, she couldn’t tell if this was an illusion of sort. Damn, even her imagination is turning against her decisions. But, she doesn't want to runaway from this. She isn't feeling the need to turn around and head back. And plus, where would she go? The only way out is to go through it and she intends to do just that.
But, the clattering of movement inched closer. She squinted slightly, attempting to examine their features or catch some idea on what kind of pokemon it was. Overall, she understands it was trying to make her back out. Kind of reminds her of her sisters. Ready to tell her she failed and that it was time to go home. All in all, she did not mind too much this topic popped up. They already began drowning in her presence, but she’s been swallowing the sea for what almost seemed like years. Between memory and reality there are awkward discrepancies…Eryn lived in a decision, she was dared to shrink herself, for someone else’s comfort - but not this time. She's going to handle this on her own. Whether she wants to or not she will find a time and prove them wrong. And then maybe mother in heaven can finally shine light upon her success as a coordinator. The girl shifted, as though stirred finally into some unavoidable discomfort. It was interesting, always, to see exactly what memories would elicit a reaction. Such thoughts are something she desperately tries to cover up, but the importance of the past was instantly repeating, there’s nothing that could make her forget forever. She growled softly unhappily at herself before she attempted to unwind.
She made it this far… Hm, maybe some training wouldn’t hurt? Rolling her shoulders a bit to keep Ignazio from stiffening up, she took a quick glance behind her before speaking out. "Hey." Her greeting pocketed in the silence of the two, the shriveled up Litiwck snapped it's flame. A high-pitched crackling replied to her stern calling. And Eryn remained motionless, staring forward, determined. "Your up, hot stuff." Her answer created a puff of air to catch up with her next sentence and to ease the pokemon's nervousness. | only bad thing about a star is they burn up |

LEER - TACKLE
| tags ANDREJ notes :I so yea the original was accidentally replaced. what happened is that Eryn attempted to catch her first pkmn which is shinx aka. Hugo. |
PICK OF THE LITTER,hover for notes | The gulpin started off the battle with a slight yawn. Her weakness as a child and still is now. Eryn, being that she does this also had almost yawned herself from the habit-forming move. She could admit straight off the bat that she accustomed this to her daily lifestyle. Especially when hurried days just strangely unwind. “Okay, let’s use Ember.” The litiwck repeated the same steps before. Blasting a full on fragmented shower of heat the gulpin was hit pretty hard form the attack but not enough for it to faint. He’s getting good at this. Eryn thought as she was exuding a sort proud demeanor of the tough guy he was becoming.
“Nice, one more-“ Her sentence stopped once Ignazio tipped over. Eryn thought that it was too soon for the litwick to faint but more importantly she found herself running to his side. As she looked closer it seemed that he only fell asleep. “….Ahem.” Clearing her throat to replace her little mistake. The silence still waiting for her next speech, but instead she gestured out her small hands to pick up Ignazio. The gulpin had it easy this time, it laid pleasantly on it’s side and Eryn scornfully looked back at it's tease.
Eryn fastened her fingers around the brand new pokeball. “Come on out, Hugo.” And with that summoning the shinx rushed out in an expeditious flash. The etched out light dispersed once the shinx shook off the radiance. The proud stance and it’s remarkable activity belted a true champion. It must be Eryn thinking too spirited because Hugo was her second catch. The shinx saw it’s next opponent, not even the height of his shoulder. With his guard off the gulpin used another yawn in the process of it’s turn.
His slender tail swayed each time he looked at this blob, hardly keeping still. Keeping resistance obviously was invalid. His focus was dozing by a lot. Though, his other senses were in tip-top shape. Thankfully, he had other techniques than relying on a thick-skull yet lionhearted nature. Though Hugo could hardly make a good fixture of the gulpin, a simple dotted point was all he could see. Agonizing punches made his throat desiccate. Even his stomach made a grumbling noise of protest. Breath repeatedly whiffed with a stench of hunger worn. The ruffed-up shinx let out a long breath through his nose as he tipped himself downwards. Sharp, widened eyes scanned the ground beneath him before he finally rested back to it’s feet. Hugo was definitely in pain, but he didn't want his suffering to be expressed through another cry. How uncool of him. Pieces of the snow embedded in his flank while the nape of his neck tucked as he skid along the pavement. The pound pushed over the youngster to lay on it’s side. It’s body was in less shape to counter but his optics still looked intensely at the gulpin. Out of breath and motionless it tried to use leer. “No, Hugo.” Eryn reacted, her calling reaching out to the shinx. The cleansed response had just saved his skin from being smash-mouthed by it's foe. Startling him should really be the least of her worries. In fact, it had really been what had saved him from feeling less likely to be slaughtered. But the thanks she received was an unsightly attitude.
The shinx cropped up his head at her. Met with the bruised shine that soon bursted into a blistering luster. It was fearless of the weather, the solitude, and of her. Eryn wanted to contain that character of his to meet a lower key. It should heed to her training if it truly wants real strength in the future. “...You are apart of the team now. Listen up and use tackle.” She gestured her head to it’s opponent. Her eyes half-way opened, lacked any shine and her brows drooped as she thoughtfully looked at Hugo. Pressure surged through the bloodstreams of this shinx. He was capable of being the rag doll here, but this was no game. She cannot fool this cub. A taste of honesty won't flavor in any bitter situations...right? The shinx licked his maw freely from dried thickness of pelage as it was preparing himself for the worst. Finally, he was taking his time until the moment was right. He's never done this before, he can't answer himself correctly. What language of innocence, levels of guiltless, or even a portion of getting bad here is he limited too. Hugo paused, his circumspect attention and perpendicular ears flew flimsy as he looked over his shoulder again. A cranium lodged with polluted impressions looked at Ignazio sitting comfortable at Eryn’s shoulder. Bad habits formed as he was trying something new. But right here, right now? How could he talkback with a tongue released from a coated silver. Honestly, he would rather have it different, though, he won't be equally satisfied. A tongue has no bones but it can break a heart. And well, he didn’t want to trouble this dame. His irises continued to roll as he tried to think of something. Then, that sound of brilliant ivories crushing together had morphed into a smart idea.
The brisk air challenging his instincts, had caught a scent of the gulpin. With intense eyes followed by his coat bristling, he was ready, prepared to take lock into that blind state of rage. With that cleaning air, flushing out her bruised position out of his mind, he was ever so ready to chase out the intruders. But a strong presence latched onto that thought. Suddenly his maw brokenly bobbed releasing pockets of timed air. His sleek coat was being licked by the breeze while his paw pads began to beat in melody. Hugo found himself racing as if he was ready to confront deceased member's warnings. The tackle seemed a complete success and was critical hit. Rather than risk jerking back, he took cautious steps forward, rooting each paw deeply in the cracked pavement with his every motion to avoid falling. “Yeah! C’mon. Just a bit more. Tackle!” She expelled into the same command as though it was her final breath. Most wounds sliced into his relatively thin coat, had dried and crusted, but constant stumbling on slick stones and tormenting hours in the day had only served to pull him back open time and time again. Hugo zipped for another tackle and was met with another pound. The sound chased in the darkness and Hugo was able to finish off the gulpin. His shaking forearms refused to cease and his quickly kicked in.
“Wow, nice going there kit.” The thickening comment spoke no nonsense, neither in a playful tone or serious fixture. She did not force her words through the importance of their second meeting. Little by little he wanted the conversation to skim nicely without the worry of angering the shinx. Hugo’s cherry nose twitched and fixed upon Eryn across from the neutral territory. His head lifted to have his nose tame the scent to fix an image with his sight fading. Being painted was someone not even leveled as his acquaintance and yet she praised him. The shinx solemnly directed his cranium to dip downward. His plush tufts supporting his lowering bow before falling asleep as well. Eryn soon reeled out his pokeball and made sure he got a well deserved sleep.

TERUSOVlvl.7
| tags ANDREJ notes tag teams, ayy |
PICK OF THE LITTER,hover for notes | “Let’s go, Terusov!” Within seconds her next pokemon was called out. Since it was her opponents turn the twins gladly took off into a gut-wrenching attack. A blistering Discharge followed by a Tackle had given Terusov a harsh message of his presence. Ignazio awoke from the unsettling noise from afar, peering at Terusov beaten to the side. A plastered smile made the zangoose chuckle in delight and his ears perked into a comfortable alinement. But he was held back by a lot, training and battles still had to be conquered, and his body still was flat on the ground, so what was he thinking about? “Trying to rub it off as usual it seems.” Her fluent and crisp words darted off as if she had the practice of saying it over and over again. She didn’t need the pokedex to tell that this zangoose meant trouble if provoked. Eryn began tucking her head from being right, it’s unpleasant to know that it gives her more work in the end. Training is seriously difficult especially since it seems that she’s usually stuck with the delinquent ones.
Taking a deep breath and calming her nerves as she braced herself against the little onslaught of guilt that was no doubt to plague her, Eryn gave her next set of orders. “Ignazio use Ember!” Another round of Ember kicked up and the small spiraled the targeted minun. "Go in with another round of Quick Attack and Scratch, Terusov. Don’t give her time to defend against it.” He made a soft noise of agreement before he was bolting forward, his lithe and slim body easily cutting across the ground as he gathered all the strength he could into his forepaws. Seconds before he made impact he twirled on his feet and aimed to smash his gleaming frame into the plusle. Going in again with a swipe of his claws only moments after and dancing out of reach of the miniun in case it retaliated against him. But, the minun rushed at Ignazio with a fully powered Tackle. Ignazio was already trying to recuperate from it’s own attack and was sent flying from the brute move.
Thankfully, Terusov was in the way from having the litwick fall into the snow pile. He caught Ignazio, cradling the petite candle atop with his rounded claws. The keyed-up mice were annoying but for some reason Terusov couldn't help but just make short glances at the fluffed scrap. His snagged smile shortened. This was all a joke to him personally but when his team gets hurt he feels responsible. It kinda disgusts him when things aren't fun and games anymore. He was juggling his worries with ease and snuck behind the obstacles of life. The rounds of fur clung, blue and yellow gems flowing from busted flesh wounds, he was dressed by the colors of dirt and gravel. His fixed appearance had now been crumbling to pieces. A low angry sound came from Terusov even as Eryn noticed there seemed to be a shift in the oppnent’s attitude. Before she could even get a command out for her to stop, Terusov leaped forward to finish the attack he’d started. Partly out of anger and partly out of protective instinct for his team. His dignity and loyalty angled behind him, it's all he had left to make Eryn seem…important. Feeble muscles, jittery and hummed within the background. Oculars fought their way to through the closing lids of Eryn while her ribs parachuted as it desperately tried to get a hint of oxygen.
The minun had dropped to it’s side from fatigue and from the Scratch caused by Terusov. While in the flashed moment Ignazio regained an opening of the plusle attempting to counter from this. The litwick quieted the air once more and replaced it with another fire attack, Ember. The small flames trudged through the underbelly of the plusle and caused it to crash from it’s concentration being thrown off mid-way.
Terusov walked back with it’s relaxed tail plucking out prints in the snow below along with Ignazio. . An ancient smile folded gently on up lifting his cheeks a bit. Lassoed eyes not even reaching the levels of being commonly seen had met hers. From green to amber, to yellow and blue. For minute she thought she was going color blind. So alone on this run, with no prize to lure her, the road still got tough and she never knew the reason to this. But, like morning dew her parched eyes held onto the tears.“A-ha.” A kick of laughter exited from a worried expression. Still, there’s nothing like deep breaths after laughing hard. Nothing in the world like a sore stomach for the right reasons. “Good boy.” She ended, Terusov slipping it’s head into her cold hand that laid limp at her side for the longest. It made her flinch for a second because it was freezing and well she didn’t want her pokemon to mistaken her for a ghost.
Ah, but that was some excuse. One of the cruelest things she committed, was to make her allies feel like home, when to her they’re only temporary. Maybe a real praise didn’t have to come from words. Eryn outstretched her hand and Terusov looked at her, like a reflection he copied her expressionless stare. “Terusov…. Return.” The pokemon shook it’s head in the brightened light as it helplessly returned back to it’s pokeball. “Lets, keep going.” She cooed as Ignazio made it’s way back to her shoulder. The added snow to her features and the lifeless stare had the litiwick burn low as they continued their walk.
[Summary] Hugo switched out with Ignazio! "Let's go, Terusov!" Pulse used Discharge on Terusov! Minun used Tackle on Terusov! Ignazio woke up! Ignazio used Ember on Minun! [attr="class","ichover"]PICK OF THE LITTER,hover for notes | The odor of food brewed in the air as she continued with the footpath provided. The challenger that faced her was a cook. For some reason she refused to advance towards the man challenging her, instead she stood stationary as the discomfort was paralyzing. “Show me what you got, kiddo!” The candy-eyes and unbecoming attire especially during this hour had her circumspect. Lightly Eryn tossed a pokeball up into the air, clicking it lightly beforehand. In a flash of red light a zangoose appeared slightly above the ground. It hit the ground with a thud. No damage, no confusion appeared to be inflicted to the pokemon, which was to be expected. “Quick Attack." the lass ordered. Her zangoose shuffled it’s legs preparing for a sturdy leap. Terusov hurdled itself in the frosted air with a silver banner coating his anatomy. The sharp teeth in the mist of his attack beckoned with a sense of entertainment to battles. Showing off to two humans was an event he refused to blackout from. As Terusov was clearing it's way at drillbur, Ignazio was heaving another batch of Ember. “Assist with Ember, Ignazio.” The casted flames glided into pileup on the opponent’s Petili. The engulfing flames scooped the grass type into a hellish damage. While the drilbur roughly collided with the normal type pokemon just as it landed a hefty quick attack on him. "Alright, Terusov, get some distance!" Eryn noted with a quick eye how the drillbur seemed to be keen on throwing some pretty powerful looking moves in. It was lucky the zangoose seemed agile enough, and luckier that Ignazio didn't seem to be the target of any of the attacks. The zangoose skated out of the battle, letting Ignazio dive in for another use of Ember. With a blaring clap from the Chef his pokemon bolted in their raid. The petilil leeched with it’s Absorb on Ignazio while the Drillbur’s image picked from the sidelines striking with a powerful Mud-Slap.Terusov paused, the static weight upon his shoulders reigned as it reconstructed his way of thinking. With a thud Terusov smacked right into the ground. Terusov paused, the static weight upon his shoulders reigned as it reconstructed his way of thinking. He was busy reading the Drillbur and not paying attention to her command. He quickly recovered from this embarrassment, his elevated fur stood as aggression peaked. He was getting all riled up to make sure his next attack will put the runt in it’s place. “Right. Terusov, use scratch to lunge in, then back it up with a Quick Attack!” Terusov whipped it's body forwards, moving like a spring current towards the drilbur. Then, opened it’s claws once more to envelop the ground type. “Hurry, Ignazio use Clear Smog!” Naturally, her words had reached him pretty quickly. The streams of fog was freed from it’s mouth and snaked forward like a train. The grass type fainted within minutes of meeting the acidity from it’s wounds. "From behind- use Quick Attack!" The mongoose-like pokemon instantly changed course, fangs barred as it flew around the battle before attempting to hit the drillbur from behind. The opponent countered with a Rapid-Spin before the last attack managed to reach him. Terusov rested with a hunched back trying to recuperate from the multitude of the same move. Though, it was understandable that it is the strongest attack of his moveset and it’ll make the job more easier for him. Finally, Ignazio pitched in sending out another Clear Smog before returning to Terusov where Eryn was already tending to his injuries. The company of the two was mixed in complete silence. "...Sorry, about earlier." With a utter sigh Eryn stood back up and patted the zangoose on the shoulder before proceeding onward once more. The zangoose happily walked beside her trainer with Ignazio getting excited from the extra company. [Summary]
