So here Faylinn stood, holding an egg, a dejected look on her face as she looked down to where her pink and purple milkshake swirled on the ground and the scent of Rawst and Bluk berries filled the air.

She started walking down the path in a daze. All of a sudden an Iglybuff appeared. Seemingly attracted by the sweet scent and made for Faylinn. Quartz pokeball lit up as She released herself. She struck the Igglybuff with a string shot, sticking her to the floor and then followed up with a tackle attack.

Faylinn snapped out of her daze and rummaged in her bag for a pokeball, she had always loved Igglybuff, she threw it at the pokemon that was now semi paralyzed as it struggled to get up. "Pokeball go!"

The pokeball struck the Igglybuff and the pokemon was energized with an amused look on her face. Faylinn still clutching the egg crossed her fingers. This time it had to work. The pokeball chimed as it was caught. Faylinn stared on in awe as the pokeball glowed a bright blue and then vanished into thin air. 

She started freaking out when her Xtransceiver started rinning. She answered and Professor Hickory was on the line, looking like her usual dolled up self. "HELLO! Faylinn Your Igglybuff just arrived." She held up the pokeball and explained that when a trainer has 6 pokemon on them any other ones captured by a registered trainer gets sent to the professor that gave them their first pokemon or the nearest pokemon center. Faylinn listened attentively as she walked. "Also Prof i have a question, a weird old woman handed me this?" Faylinn showed the egg to the professor who squeled with girlish glee. 'a Pokemon egg! And it looks like it is close to its hatching time. Oooooooh i'm so excited!' The professor dragged a few assistants closer so they could also see the egg. "Well I haveto get going Prof, chat soon!" Faylinn dropped the line and then dropped herself. She fell face first over something making sure that the egg does not get hurt she saw a package on the ground. Picking it up and looking inside she found a bunch of Lava cookies from Hoenn. "Well this is a nice surprise," She pocketed them before anyone could see, got up and dusted herself off before carrying on down the path.

Faylinn had been walking with the egg for quite some time when a trainer approached her, It was an older gentleman, he doffed his hat when he approached.

'"EXCUSE ME MADEMOISELLE WOULD YOU BE SO KIND AS TO GRACE ME WITH A BATTLE?"'

Faylinn smiled at him and did a little curtsy, "Why it would be an honor." She grinned as he threw a pokeball into the air releasing a Squirtle, "Well Quartz guess it's game on then!" She smiled down at Quartz who nodded in return. "Use tackle!" 

'Squirtle use Tailwhip.'

Tackle connected with the Squirtle it struck Quartz with a tailwhip making her defense a little weaker. "Use String shot and then try another tackle afterwards."

'Squirtle quickly use another tailwhip and then hit it with a tackle.'

The pokemon rushed towards eachother Quartz's string shot narowly missing the Squirtle as it struck her with another tail whip, lowereing her defense even more, Then they both used tackle attacks, they hit each other head on. As they did Quartz let off the black powder that was mentioned in her pokedex entry, The stun spore attack hitting Squirtle at close range. The other pokemon fell over, paralyzed. "Quickly use tackle Quartz!" Quartz rushed towarsd the other pokemon and struck it, making the squirtle roll back towards his trainer. Still paralyzed.

"Good battle Monsieur!" Faylinn made for another curtsy ass Quartz waddled over to her.

Taking her winnings from the man she set off down the path again, the snowy landscape with its ever green trees really did look beautiful she thought to herself as she walked holding the egg. Quartz was close behind her.

"Well guess we can take a little rest." She sat down and put the egg in her bag as she picked Quatz up. Feeding her a sweetheart that she had gotten as a gift on christmas the pokemon started feeling better. She smiled at her. "You really are a special one my Quartz." She hugged the bug and then put her on the floor again as she got ready to set off. Something was moving by her bag, a Vanillite was trying to take the egg from her bag. "USE STUN SPORE!!!!" She shouted at Quartz as panic set in, The bug pokemon struck the ice type with a full blast of Stun spore, it floated to the side and then shook off the powder.

It pulled faces at Quartz shocking her a little and making her forget all of the things she was doing. "Use a string shot get my egg back!" Quartz struck theegg with a string shot and pulled it closer. Faylinn had to dive to catch it as it fell. "Use a string shot and stun spore." The Vanillite was preparing an icicle spear attack, which quartz narrowly avoided and then struck the pokemon with a bunch of string and a combination of stun spore. So the Vanillite fell to the ground with a thud. "Let's get going and i'm not putting the egg down again." She said as she clutched it to her chest.
